Welcome to our updated website. We are delighted to sponsor this readily-accessible space, which helps communicate to brothers and prospective brothers alike just what the Sigma Chi Canadian Foundation is all about, and which also hosts Active and Alumni Chapter home pages.

The Foundation was started some seventeen years ago by a number of far-sighted alumni who realized that there was a need for a Canadian Sigma Chi organization that spanned the country and worked for the benefit of all Active Canadian Chapters of the Fraternity. Such an organization was established as a charitable foundation, with the objective of raising funds (and issuing tax receipts) to be used by Active Chapters for a variety of educational purposes. In many ways, our foundation was designed to mirror the function (albeit on a smaller scale) of the US-based Sigma Chi Foundation, whose programs and activities our Foundation supports and facilitates.

Over the years, under the leadership of Ted Rogers, George Fierheller and others, our Foundation has been slowly and steadily spreading its wings and assistance through more programs and increased funding. But these funds - that can be used for certain types of chapter house improvements, scholarships, bursaries, fellowships and training workshops (see Funding Support Guidelines) - come from only one source - brothers committed to helping their own former and other Active Chapters. As word spreads about the way the Foundation can help Active Chapters help themselves - more donations and thus more grants and assistance are becoming possible.

I encourage you to explore just how the Sigma Chi Canadian Foundation can help you make supporting Sigma Chi in Canada a win-win situation for all of the stakeholders. Our Foundation exists primarily for the benefit and support of Canadian Active Chapters and the Brothers of Sigma Chi.
